Americause
PHOENIX
(By Jon Garrido, Hispanic News) December 8, 2006 — This is the beginning of a program to restore
America. The foundation we build on is the American family. The
primary tenet is to safeguard the family in all aspects including jobs,
health, education, security, law and order, environment, truth, and moral
values.
America's families come first and as the tide rises — America rises. America
Reborn's mandate is to take care of the needs of America's
families. As this is done, should there be a surplus, America Reborn will
promote assistance for others around the
world.
But the time has come to put America first and within this wide gamut,
give priority to Middle America.
We
begin with the primary life line for all Americans — jobs. Jobs in America are
the life line but not just any job such as a part time minimum wage Wal-Mart job
without health benefits but a good paying job with access to upward
mobility and fringe benefits for the entire family. If each family has a bread
winner working in a job in manufacturing, skilled labor, high level health
career, college required profession or technical, with each job having
significant fringe benefits that include quality health insurance for the entire
family, the quality of life for all Americans would rise and in turn, would raise America
as a ship rising with the tide of American families.
We begin with manufacturing jobs. Our slogan returns to the days of
"Buy American" to influence American purchases of goods and services produced in
the United States. This would begin to raise the tide. We simultaneously move
forward to forge alliances with other groups concerned
with the demise of Middle America. A partnership with
the Blue Dogs of the Democratic Party
is a priority. America Reborn invites other
organizations and groups to join to become one collective effort to move
Washington to pass legislation requiring all products and services sold in the
United States be manufactured or the service provided in the United States.
The
alternative is too impose a federal
manufacturing and service excise tax
similar to the Energy Tax Act of 1978 (gas
guzzler tax on cars manufactured outside the USA that do not meet EPA miles per
gallons standards) imposed on all goods and services produced outside the United
States. This tax would balance a present unleveled playing field of goods and
services produced in the United States not being to
compete with goods and services originating from other countries that use "sweat
shops" paying foreign workers a few cents per hour that undermine the ability of
American companies to compete fairly. If foreign good and services were taxed,
this would force the return of
manufacturing and outsourcing back to the United States.
Tax
reform now becomes a national priority as a means to equally distribute the tax
burden by eliminating tax loop holes and tax shelters used by the wealthy to
avoid paying taxes.
Tax
reform would, most importantly, address manufacturing and
services that moved to other countries to pursue decreased costs in
manufacturing and services by using "sweat shops," be required to move back to the United States if
they want to sell their products or services in the United States.
Depressed wages is also a major concern. As the flow of immigrants into the
United States remains constant, wages in the United States continue in a
downward spiral. Immigration reform must address this adverse impact and stop
the downward spiral for if it continues, any adverse influence in the United
States could trigger the stock and bond markets to collapse leading to a
collapse of the ability of the United States to borrow money and thus lead to
the United States becoming a third world country.
We begin this day, to provide
truth which will set us free from those that would do us harm.
The goal is to establish a national program
where advocacy on all issues becomes the daily message. This is now beginning to
take form with
www.JonGarrido.com
which is a
national and local News service for American Hispanics to enable us to become a
significant part of mainstream America. A second national program will follow —
"Jon Garrido Today, America Reborn" will be an advocacy center for all American families. All of this is
preliminary and will undergo extensive change as we move forward.
www.JonGarrido.com is already on the Internet but
is not yet operational. Today we include articles within Hispanic News. Next
year we include in addition to articles — news and program videos. In a few
days. "Jon
Garrido Today, America Reborn" will be launched on the internet using a video
format to promote: Buy American. The website is
www.Americause.us. Update — published
December 10.
