I gave considerable
thought to using the Wilberg photograph. I published the
photo to show Hitler had Jews who supported his racism.
In the same way, Kyl has Jews who support him. The
difference is Straus works for the ADL and is charged
with fighting Racism. He is in denial to racism
displayed by Kyl or he supports racism toward Hispanics.
Either way, Straus has no business working for the ADL.
Racism
toward the Jewish community by the Nazis is one of the
blackest marks on mankind's history. The Civil Rights
period of the 1960s was also a dark period in mankind's
history. Barry Goldwater, an Arizona Jew,
was the only senator to vote against the Civil Rights
Act of 1964.
Racism toward Hispanics is the second
chapter of the Civil Rights movement of the 1960s. I am
willing to present my accusations to ADL in Washington DC
or Phoenix to convince ADL the Senator
Kyl immigration reform bill debated in the well of the
U.S. Senate was racially motivated. Senators Obama and
Graham on the senate floor said racism fueled the senate
debate. For Bill Straus to
describe Senator Kyl as "admirable" resurrects the ugly
face of racism the Jewish community has been fighting
since the beginning of hate in the world.

PHOENIX (By Jon
Garrido, Hispanic News and the Blue Dogs of the Democratic Party)
September 3, 2007 —
Kyl is a Trojan Horse who sponsored immigration reform but his
hidden agenda working as a mole on the inside was to prevent a path
to citizenship and to deport 12 million undocumented. If the
immigration bill been adopted as Kyl fought for, it would have
deported all migrants for jaywalking or spitting on the
sidewalk. It was a proposed bill with very strict
citizenship provisions loaded with unworkable cruelties.
A biblical
warning, "Beware of false prophets, who come to
you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves."
This is a description of Kyl and those that support him.
There are many
wolves in sheep clothing that are team players of the Kyl deception.
Elias Bermudez
One wolf
sleeping with the enemy covered by sheep's clothing is Elias
Bermudez, founder of the pro-immigration group Immigrants Without
Borders. Elias believes Kyl is "a true statesman and a person of
character" and possibly part of the ultimate salvation of the
Republican Party.
A registered Republican, Bermudez predicts Arizona eventually will
be a Hispanic majority state and says Republicans such as Kyl and
McCain are crucial to the party's continued vitality.
A profound
contradiction for it was Republicans who killed immigration
reform. The only way to have immigration reform adopted with a path
to citizenship is to elect moderate and conservative Democrats (The
Blue Dogs of the Democratic Party).
To support Kyl's
mission to deport the undocumented, Bermudez talks out of both sides
of his mouth. He portrays himself as a champion of the undocumented
but his primary mission is to succeed in processing immigration
paperwork which provides his personal income. I know first hand
Bermudez was a strong supporter of the undocumented having to leave
the United States as a condition for obtaining a Green Card. I
argued with Bermudez, this condition was a requirement I could never
accept. I forcibly told Bermudez having the undocumented leave the
United States for supposedly a few hours then being allowed to
return to the United States would turn into a massive voluntary
deportation with the undocumented having to acquire immigration
processing assistance to return to the United States knowing full
well many would have not been able to return.
None of this
concerned Bermudez. The only concern Bermudez told me was to make
sure the proposed legislation did not exclude non attorneys in the
processing of immigration documents thus allowing his business of
immigration processing to continue.
Bermudez's
fifteen minutes of fame have come and gone. Once perceived as pillar
of the migrant movement until his sheep's clothing slipped to expose
the wolf, Bermudez has fallen victim to his own self serving
ambition of building an organization that sells immigration
paperwork processing to the undocumented. Bermudez has lost
credibility with most Hispanic leaders and even his followers who
patiently wait for an alternative organization so they can jump
ship.
If any of this
seems like I am angry — I am.
On August 2,
2006, I began a series of articles on diabetes found at the
Hispanic News Diabetes Center
identifying the number one killer of Hispanics is not the war in
Iraq, serial killers, drive by shootings, road rage, deaths on the
border, car accidents but illnesses caused
by diabetes.
Obesity is
the root cause of diabetes and according to the National Centers for
Disease Control, the USA has an diabetes epidemic.
Nearly 21
million Americans are believed to be diabetic and 41 million more
are pre-diabetic and could reach the diabetic level if they do not
alter their living habits.
One in
three children born in the United States five years ago are expected
to become diabetic in their lifetimes, according to a projection by
the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The forecast is even
bleaker for Hispanics: one in every two, particularly Mexican-Americans and Puerto Ricans.
What causes
obesity? It is the food we traditionally eat and that sold by fast
food restaurants and grocery stores such as Food City.
For those that
counter the kind of food we eat is a personal choice; be assured,
that is exactly the same argument tobacco originally made until the
tobacco companies were sued and publicly admitted cigarettes cause
cancer.
I asked Food
City to meet with me and they did. Food City was represented by
their public relations hired gun Nereyda Lopez-Bowden who claimed
the problem at hand was a public relations problem and not a health
problem as I contended.
The meeting
ended abruptly as soon as it started for I knew Food City was never
going to address this as a health problem but would continue to
prefer dealing with it as a public relations problem. This is
standard modus operandi for Food City by buying influence with
Hispanic organizations with a small token financial contribution.
It was I who
wrote the letter to Eddie Basha and I added the
names of two Inmigrantes Sin Fronteras representatives who were
responsible for coordinating the Inmigrantes committee because Elias
Bermudez was in South America. I was not comfortable without meeting
with Bermudez but I was assured Bermudez was aware of all conditions
and had approved proceeding.
As soon as
Basha received my letter, Nereyda Lopez-Bowden
called Elias Bermudez when he returned and set up a meeting with one
condition: Jon Garrido would not be invited "because he will not
negotiate." (Translation: He can not be bought.)
Bermudez
agreed and met with Nereyda Lopez-Bowden and
Basha representatives. An agreement was reached calling off the
planned boycott.
The primary
question that publicly has not been shared with the
Phoenix Hispanic community is what was offered to
Bermudez and evidently, what did Bermudez accept for calling off the
boycott?
There are many who
emailed Bermudez asking what was in the agreement with copies to
concerned parties including me. Bermudez responding back to
all inquires, "The problem has been resolved." Nothing else. "The
problem has been resolved!" (I saved the emails.)
The only
conclusion surmised from any of this is something was
offered by Bashas and something was received by Bermudez for calling
off the boycott.
Are the
undocumented the beneficiaries of any agreement? You know what my
answer is.
The only
conclusion is whatever Bashas offered to Bermudez has monetary
value and as such, IRS requires notification of the value
received and of the cost of business has to be reported by Bashas to
IRS. It will make for revealing investigative reporting to research
this transaction beginning on April 16 of next year.
This is the
only way the Hispanic community is ever going to find out why
Bermudez called off the Food City boycott.
Bill Straus
Another wolf in sheep's clothing is Bill Straus,
Arizona Regional Director of the Anti-Defamation League, who told me Kyl is
"admirable." This is similar to saying in 1939, the Nazis strategy to build a
white supremacist Aryan nation was "admirable." What is hard to understand is
how Straus is blind to the devious Kyl agenda. (Maybe Straus is not blind.) This
is like Straus being a member of the Vichy government in the name of French
liberation. To forget the past is to relive it. Evidently, Straus has become a
fixture in the Kyl McCain camp and as such it is time for him to retire.
If he refuses to go, Hispanic News will start a campaign emailed across the United States to alert the
Jewish community of Straus' collaboration with anti Hispanic basher Kyl and as
such,
Straus' employment with the ADL must come to and end.
The Anti-Defamation League, founded
in 1913, is the world's leading organization fighting anti-Semitism
through programs and services that counteract hatred, prejudice and
bigotry yet Straus supports Kyl, the biggest advocate in Arizona for
hatred, prejudice and bigotry against the Hispanic undocumented.
This is a contradiction to the ADL mandate.
The Germans after the war tried to
cover up the killing of 6 million Jews. The Germans rationalized
they were not aware of what was being done to the Jewish population
in Germany.
This is the same verbiage Straus
uses to describe Kyl. Straus states he is not aware of any
discriminating behavior Kyl has toward the Hispanic undocumented.
To this day, I vividly remember
standing near the entrance of the former Nazi concentration camp in
Dachau, Germany and seeing a tombstone that read "6 Million Jews are
Buried Here."
I will never forget the tragedy
loss of 6 million Jews and hope 12 million Hispanics are not rounded
up and sent to concentration camps. If you think this can never
happen in the United States, you are not aware there was once a
concentration camp about 60 miles to the southeast of Phoenix.
I was born and raised in Superior, Arizona, and just
before entering Florence, Arizona, on the west side of the highway,
I remember during my childhood passing the barracks used to jail
American Japanese. The barracks are gone now but I still remember
them as I still remember the showers and ovens at Dachau.
